Flocculant question

I usually don’t have much problem with my pool. This year I’m getting a late start at opening due to good ole COVID. This winter was particularly windy and our cover ended up with several holes from nearby tree. I knew it was bad I could see the buildup already on the bottom and some floaters. I attempted to vac the bottom to help the clearing process but it was “too light” and not coming up just dispersing so I decided to skip the wait as family will finally be able to come home soon so I flocked the pool. I can tell by looking it did it’s job everything has settled to the bottom and ready to be vac’d out EXCEPT there is a film on top of the water it is the color of the Flocculant and looks similar to the white foam/film that can sometimes show up. So I’m not sure how to proceed. It’s been 18 hours so I need to do something to to that layer before vacuuming? Should I just try to scoop it? I know I can’t filter it.
thanks for any tips

Have you been vacuuming the floc to WASTE or into your sand filter?

At that point I hadn’t done anything yet. I lightly sprayed the top to disperse it, waited a couple hours, and then vacuumed to waste. Waited over night, cause it was starting to rain and vacuumed again this am to waste and we are golden. Crystal clear. Very odd, that has never happened before.
