I have a Fafco rooftop solar pool heater, one of those contraptions with large horizontal pipes top and bottom, spanned by sails of black plastic with vertical tubules in them.
One of the sails has sprung a couple leaks. The manual that came with the installation says that to fix this, I should trace the split tubule down to the bottom feed pipe, slice an inch of it away, and plug the hole in the feed pipe with a stainless steel screw.
Now, I can handle that... but before I do, I really need to understand why water from the top return pipe simply won't spray out the cut end of the tubule.
