Got this information from this video below. Thought this might be useful. fixing $40 motor with $12 donor timer may not worth your time.

Fixed My 240 volt intermatic timer motor in intermatic timer box T104 (bottom motor... zoom to see worn out gear in the red that I replaced)
used donor gear from old school intermatic timer. Appears you can buy these gears from ebay as these older intermatic timer motors (no longer in production) are used in vintage collectables

Out curiousity I opened few other intermatic timer motors and they failed the same way with small gear worned out or crumbed due age/south florida heat.
Planned obsolescence! My understanding is that at one time they use to make it out of metal gears. I have four of these intermatic timers in pool and sprinkler systems that I maintain and one seems to fail every couple years. So I am repairing a spare as a backup.
