First use of TF-100 Kit

We had our first pool party yesterday with a lot of kids, so I decided to try out my new TF-100 kit. My results: Quick results were Cl=2 (that was hard for me to tell for sure) and pH=7.5....FC=2, CC=.5, TA=130 or 140, CH - started changing to purple at 13 drops was blue after 16 drops...not sure when to stop testing. What do I need to add to my pool?!

I filled the test tube to the top. It was faint, but I could still barely see the dot
It would appear you have little, or at least less than 20 ppm of CYA so you need to get that in there. Check the "effects of adding" section of the Pool Math app and see how much you need to add to get to at least 50 for now. I usually add it in stages, and test a couple days apart. Sometimes the CYA takes a day to fully dissolve and circulate through the system so adding it in stages prevents from over shooting the mark.

Have you added CYA (cyanuric acid) to the pool? The PoolMath app or the below will tell you what you need to be within specs for TFP recommended chemical levels.

And this.....

Seconding the recommendation to add cya in stages. The only way to lower cya is to exchange water so better to slowly approach needed level

On all tests, you keep going with drops until there is no further color change. Don't count the final drop that made no change. If calcium turned blue on drop 16, and not 17, you multiply 16 x 25 for 400 calcium.
