First time SLAM questions

So I posted earlier about having a green pool. I have followed the advice in doing a SLAM and tearing every day with the TF100 test kit.
For a brief overview, my results are
FC 18
CC 2.5-3
TC 20-21
CYA 40
TA 160
CH 300
PH 7.5

I have achieved an overnight loss of less than 1 and the CC is less than 5. The water has gone from green to cloudy blue. I can only see about 1 to 2 feet in depth so the water is pretty cloudy. I was wondering if I need to continue to SLAM until the water is clear or if I should let the FC die down to maintenance levels? Basically will this be filtered out in time without keeping shock levels? The water looks clean but not sure how to proceed to fully clear it up. Thanks.

Keep going. You're not done till it's clear. If you stop now it'll likely build back to green and you're back to square one

You have to keep going until the water is clear. How do you know there isn't a big patch of algae lurking along the bottom edge somewhere? Besides that, it's only been four days. The record here is, I think, three days, but that guy was obsessed and got up every two hours through the night to test and add chlorine. Finish the SLAM. You've already seen for yourself what an incomplete "shock" gets you -- nothing but frustrated.

^^ I agree. ^^ Continue the SLAM. Also, just to clarify, you mentioned the CC was only 0.5, but the test results above say 2.5 - 3? Regardless, you can ignore all the other testing right now. Focus on that FC and occasionally CC. Don't bother with another OCLT until the water is almost pristine clear. You really should be able to see to the bottom quite easily. If at a later point the water gets almost perfect but seems to stall, we can talk about adding a little DE to the sand, but I wouldn't do that quite yet. Hang in there. Keep brushing, inspecting, and backwashing as needed. It sounds like you're moving in the right direction.

Is it normal for the free chlorine to be pretty stable at this point? And typically how long is it from cloudy to clear at this point?
Yes I had the exact same issue when I opened my pool. How much longer depends on how diligent you are about cleaning the sides, vacuuming and adding chlorine. After all that it's a wait and see which for me was the hardest part. I did cheat and use flock, but that can cause more problems
