Got my 2006 for the first time this year and my current results for my pool
-> Viynl pool with SWCG, Gas heater

FC : 3.5
CYA : 30
TA : 90
CH : 180
pH : 7.5
Water temp : 80F

CSI calculation on
poolMath is - 0.43
Taylar chart : -0.18

I know my FC is a bit off right I know, I am trying to finish my old supply off Trichlor pucks - did not activate the SWCG yet. But when those pucks are finished, back to SWCG.

I have read about the what the TA/CH values should be for a viynl pool with a gas heater/ SWCG. CH 200 is recommended. TA: 60-80 is recommended. pH should not be too low (7.5 is ok i think) And pH tends to drift higher during the season and I need to bring down every year w/ Muriadic acid...

Should i try to adjust TA/CH at all - values are very close to recommended.

Why is the poolMath / Taylor CSI values different? Or am i reading the char somehow wrong??
Am I doing OK w/ my CSI?

Thanks

Are you talking about this:

LSI and CSI are not the same thing and will result in different numbers so you can't directly compare the two.

CSI is what we generally use on TFP and -0.43 CSI is just fine. No need to adjust anything. Given that you stopped using pucks, PH is likely to rise anyway raising CSI with it. I will usually target around -0.4 but only make adjustments when CSI gets below -0.6 or above -0.2.
