Hello all,
I have been using strips and the pool shop to check my chemistry for 11 years. Splurged on a test kit and timing could not be better/worse. I have a 24,000 gallon SWG, vinyl pool, using my new test kit I was shocked at my results. Just a couple days ago my test strip showed plenty of Chlorine. Today I tested with my Taylor Kit and got readings of...
FC=1
pH=7.6
TA=120
CH=100
CYA=20, just guessing as I could just barely see the dot when the tube was full.
I then noticed my SWG flashing red on the check cell so I checked the cell, all was good so I reset it. It shows generating chlorine so I adjusted to full and put a chlorine puck in the skimmer to speed things up. After I get my chlorine up I will add stabilizer and hopefully be back on track unless someone suggests I do something else. Water still looks great, Thoughts?
I should note that my strips agree with the test kit so the reagents are still, hopefully good.
