First test using TF-Pro Salt kit and first time using a pool kit test. Lol. Need help!

First time pool owner here. Pool recently renovated due to being in bad shape. Here are my test results.

PH = 7.2
Alkalinity = 40ppm
FC = 2.5 ( 5 drops multiplied by .5)
CC = .5 ( 1 drop multiplied by .5)
CYA = 0? I can still see the black dot with the tube full and did the test twice.
Calcium Hardness = 50ppm
Salt = 3400ppm

What do I have to add? What to add first? and how much?
30,000-gallon pool.
Thanks!

I hope you get an answer soon M. I just started with the Pro test kit myself and I can't seem to be able to get a correct chlorine rate. So frustrated.

This is a vinyl liner pool. Everything was just started yesterday. Like they just turned the pump and SWG yesterday around 9am.
K - great 👍🏻
You need cya -
lets start with 30ppm worth and retest in 24 hours.
You should add it via the sock method 🧦
Add the amount granular cya PoolMath says to reach 30ppm to a sock (or multiple socks)
Tie the end & suspend in front of a running return .
Squeeze the sock occasionally (it will get squishy)
A swcg pool does better with cya 60 -80 but you want to creep up on your target as to not overshoot.

What swcg do you have?

what is the sock method?
I have a resilience e-40 SWCG
I might have to add in the morning. I don't have any supply here. Any specific brand ?

Sock method is you place the dry stabilizer into a sock and hang/suspend it in front of a running return. Don’t let it touch the liner/wall.

Put the cya in the sock-
hang infront of a running return (not touching the liner)
squeeze the sock to disperse it into the water as it dissolves.

Great 👍🏻 add that to your signature

Walmart or lowes/hd should have some.
It should say 100% cyanuric acid for ingredients.
Stabilizer
Get at least 3 bags (usually 4 or 5# per bag)
Each pound will raise your cya approximately 4ppm
You want 30ppm now and to have more for later.
Pickup some liquid chlorine too so you can dose fc accordingly
FC/CYA Levels

Do I put 1 bag in a sock and wait for it to dissolve? and repeat?

In my experience the most that will fit comfortably in a large men’s crew sock is maybe 2#
If you squeeze it pretty regularly it dissolves pretty easily & then you can repeat until the prescribed amount has been reached.

Hi again. Here are my results after 1 week. What needs to be adjusted here?
Should I adjust alkalinity first or PH?
Add more CYA?
Pool is clear.
Thanks!

PH = 8.2
Alkalinity = 40
FC = 26
CC = 0
CYA = 50
Calcium Hardness = 50
Salt = 3400ppm

pH test is invalid when FC > 10.

Are you sure with that TA result? You should add drops until the color does not change from one drop to the next, then subtract the last drop.
