Start treating that pH. And a reminder about static buildup on the tip of the R-009. Also, you can do the test with 10 ml and multiply by 25. See the notes in Pool School - Total Alkalinity

Thanks to all
I was very careful on the tip and wipe between drops
On above ground how much acid is safe to add?
There is a small chain of pool store in my area and one of the owners said no more that 1 gallon at a time.
They specialize in Above Ground

Use PoolMath. Put 8.2 in Now and I would suggest 7.6 in Target at first. Be sure you put your TA into Now. I just did it (assuming your pool holds 10000 gallons) and came up with 190 oz of MA. So if you want to just use a gallon at a time, that is OK. Just be sure you pour it very slowly into your return stream and brush the pool well after. Wait about 30 minutes, test again, and add more. Eventually your pH will get to 7.2 and it will take some aeration to raise it back up. Test TA along the way as that value is needed for calculating how much acid you need.
