I got my Taylor k-2006 kit in today.

FC- 14
CC- 4
PH- 7.4
TA- 40
CH- 330
CYA- 40

Water is cloudy blueish green. It had been completely green for about a month. I have been adding bleach daily to prevent more algae from growing while I waited for the test to come in and the water has gotten better. Do I need to let the FC come down to get a reliable ph level or can I begin the SLAM now?

With that CC reading does the pool water really stink?

Your TA of 40 makes me bit nervous. I would wait until FC gets to below 10 (should be there very soon) and test pH. Add 20 ppm of baking soda to raise your TA a bit if the pH is below 7.2.

OK -- you are good to go. TA went up 20 ppm without any additions?

Follow the SLAM process.
