I checked my Fc. It was nearly 0 again. So I started my SLAM. I checked my CYA. It's about 50. So I checked the chart checked the chart and saw that my shock level should be at 20. Used pool calculator. It told me that I needed It told me that I needed 483 oz of 8.25% bleach. So I added four 121 oz bottles. Should have been exactly what I needed to reach 20 ppm. But I checked it an hour later and it's 29 ppm. Is that ok? Could someone tell me how the calculation could be that wrong?

29 will be fine, the FC will come down. Maybe you had more FC than you thought. Maybe you tested from an area not completely mixed yet.
Tested three hours later. Already down to 18. So I added 48 more oz of chlorine. I guess I'll do this all night!
