So, I got really granular with the new test kit. I like playing "Mad Scientist".....

Ph 7.8
FC 6ppm
CC 0
CH 500
TA 110
CYA 30
(Separate test for salt was 2700)

Should I even bother with the Ph adjustment? Besides the CYA I'm looking okay....right? My biggest concern is my pool is old and masonry, so the CH number is my focus.

Results look fine to me. Raise your CYA some and you are good. CH is not an issue. Is your fill water high in CH?

No I'm in Seattle and we mostly have rainwater & snowmelt in our city water, very soft. Thinking about leaching if there is not enough calcium?

I guess. You must have had very low pH and TA for some time to leach that amount of calcium out of your plaster.

Bought the house from a lady who didn't use the pool much (for 50+ years!) Recoat the plaster might be in my future
