First pool Tampa area - Plumbing question

Sent an email to my PB today to "follow up" on a prior email...one of the office people responded that "Everyone has been busy working on that emergency pool for 2 weeks." Ummmmmmmm, WTF is an "emergency pool?" Did it pop out of the ground and it's floating out into Tampa Bay?! What do I have to do/say to become an "emergency pool?"

That’s actually #4 from the Pool Contractor’s handbook of excuses that anyone can use:

1) My dog ate your parts.

2) My grandmother went crazy and we had to chase her down in Brazil.

3) Aliens from planet Zoltar 7 told me to delay finishing your job.

4) Everyone has been busy working on that emergency pool for 2 weeks.

5) I was working on a cure for cancer.

True story.

I would have been sooooo tempted to just fire that question right back! Maybe even include a quip of renting some high-powered tools from Home Depot if necessary to achieve desired status...

I figured anything I said in email back would be ignored so I tried asking one of the guys that came by today but I didn't really phrase my question well so his answer didn't make sense...I'm going to try again whenever the next employee comes by...if my PM comes by (IF) he usually gets to rambling so I should be able to get an answer out of him.

I can relate. It's been very stressful over the last 9 months of our 12 week build. I'm stressed when they don't come and I'm stressed when they do. I'll be glad when it's over!

Don’t forget that the St. Pete BikeFest is from Nov 18, 2021 to Nov 21, 2021 and the Annual Sanding Ovations Master's Cup is from Nov 18, 2021 – Nov 28, 2021, so that will probably delay the project some more.
