I am new to pools and just got one installed a few weeks ago. The installer hired someone to come and start water treatment and the SWG.
Here are my first results:
FC: 3
pH: 7.8
TA: 90
CYA: 30
CH: 100
Salt: 3600
Water temp: 82F
I am using the taylor 2006 Kit, and when I tested for the FC, I got 6 drops (using 10ml so 6x 0.5 = 3ppm) but when I added R-0003, the water stayed clear (or maybe a very slight slight pink) and I tried putting 1 drop of reagent and it made it totally clear. (does that mean I do not have much CC?)
I have a fiberglass pool with SWG so according to Pool Math I should get the CYA up (and I guess this will mean maybe bumping up FC up?)
The water is very clear and nice. Should I take action or wait?
The person that was hired for the pool chemistry sold me a bunch of products (400$ CDN) (Yeah I know...) and they are telling me that the pool is fine (I did not report these results to them, only color strips that they gave me).
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
