I am new to pools and just got one installed a few weeks ago. The installer hired someone to come and start water treatment and the SWG.

Here are my first results:

FC: 3
pH: 7.8
TA: 90
CYA: 30
CH: 100
Salt: 3600
Water temp: 82F

I am using the taylor 2006 Kit, and when I tested for the FC, I got 6 drops (using 10ml so 6x 0.5 = 3ppm) but when I added R-0003, the water stayed clear (or maybe a very slight slight pink) and I tried putting 1 drop of reagent and it made it totally clear. (does that mean I do not have much CC?)

I have a fiberglass pool with SWG so according to Pool Math I should get the CYA up (and I guess this will mean maybe bumping up FC up?)

The water is very clear and nice. Should I take action or wait?

The person that was hired for the pool chemistry sold me a bunch of products (400$ CDN) (Yeah I know...) and they are telling me that the pool is fine (I did not report these results to them, only color strips that they gave me).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You have no CC -- that is good!
You could add another 10-20 ppm CYA. It is getting late in summer for your northern location so no need to go much further up. Just keep your FC at 10% of CYA level.

Great!
The product they sold me as stabilizer is this
(Pristiva - Liquid Rapid Action Stabilizer)

I am not able to determine if this is a good product to use to raise CYA (They put some in when they opened the pool, so I suppose this is what contributed to CYA since the drinking water that was used to fill the pool doesn't have any CYA?)

Pool math says I should put 541 mL to raise 10 CYA, do you think it is safe to do this with the Pristiva product?

That product is fine. You can use it.
In the future, buy dry stabilizer. It will be 1/4 the price.

When you raise your CYA, calc what your target FC is and raise it with liquid chlorine. Then adjust your SWG to keep it there. SWG do a great job of keeping FC in range, but not so much raising FC more than a little bit.
