First cloudy water guidance

OK -- keep the FC at SLAM level. Test and add at least 3-4 times per day.

If the question on MA is how long to swim, 15 minutes with pump running is sufficient.

So I added 80oz of chlorine 10.8% to the pool from the pool store. If I set my salt cell to 10% or less will it be ready for swimming tomorrow by 3pm? It’s going to be a scorcher tomorrow? Poolmath calculated a slam of 20.

thanks again for the support

You can safely swim in a pool as long as the FC is above the minimum and at or below SLAM level based on your CYA. You must also be able to see the bottom of the pool in the deep end of the pool.

Not really. UV impact (from the sun) is the primary reason FC is lost, unless you have a swamp.

Ok so here are my levels

FC-18
CC -0 or it was a slight hue of pink 1 drop cleared it up. What would that be?
PH-7.6 at least it looked like it, thoughts? Alk-110

I guess no swimming today for the kids?

Your last reported CYA level was 60 ppm. FC of 18 is well below SLAM level.
Do not test the pH until your FC reaches 10 ppm.

Go Swimming!!!

Hey Everyone,

Based on my math full load of swimmerS and 24hrs including intense sun and I lost 6ppm FC.

I am going to set my SWG which my pump runs 24/7 to 53% tomorrow when I reach 5ppm tomorrow. That way if no one uses it it might go to 6ppm and if lots of people it could drop to 3-4ppm.

It’s sitting at 9ppm right now

Thoughts??

Sounds like a plan. That will add 6 ppm FC into your pool each day (running 24 hours). Most days will not take that much. But higher is better than too low!
