On to another issue. Could the high CH and PH have caused this white scale look on my plaster? It's not as noticeable whit the water in the pool but very noticeable now. Should I consider an acid wash?

Yes, both those combined can encourage scale buildup. Some folks will just lower their pH to low range, and keep a negative CSI number and over time slowly it helps it.

Acid washes remove years from a plaster surface lifespan. Use judiciously if ever.

Hi guys, I'm seeing this white stuff pushing out of (and sometimes actually pushing out) the grout in the tiles that separate my spa from the pool. I don't see this happening anywhere else in the pool. It's very hard and not easy to scrape, suggesting it's not salt. Any ideas what to do? What...

Your pool needs to be fully circulated before taking any samples for chemistry. The water will stratify over winter and taking a water sample from the top of a winterized pool will give you false data.
