Just saw that I had several clumps of a brown substance in my pool. Went to scrub it away and realized it was clay from the fireworks last night. Well, some of it left stains everywhere on the bottom of the pool. I tried to scrub it with a pool brush and its still there.

What are my options for getting these stains out?

Not sure if the staining would be related to the by-products from the pyro (i.e. sulfur) or from the materiel it's encased in. I would be inclined to try any of the following to see if you see positive reaction or even worsening reaction:
- Gently rubbing stain with a chlorine tab
- Rubbing with a vitamin C tablet.
- Applying some dry acid to the area in a thin sock or nylon

Let us know if any of those help.

I get many blobs from the 4th of July party each year. It’s the clay packing ends. Some of them hold their form and some melt into mush. Most are either gray or mud colored. They wipe right off my vinyl so hopefully yours come off like @Texas Splash suggested.

That means a dip in 60 deg water Texas LOl...

I think it is the clay. It’s a brown looking and my mortars have clay packing on the bottom of them.
I’ll give your ideas a try and see what happens.
