Fine dust on bottom of pool

We just bought a new dolphin cleaner and it’s doing a terrible job of cleaning the pool. Also our sand filter doesn’t seem to be doing a good job either. We clean everyday, run the pump at night and in the morning all the dust is back in the bottom of the pool. Do I need to replace the sand or are there other issues going on? Clarifier needed? Trying to keep the pool clean is exhausting.

Check the type of filter basket that is in the dolphin. Most are sold with a not so fine mesh filter basket. I've always had to purchase the smaller mesh filter for my robots.

Don't use clarifier.
Sounds like algae. Post a full set of test results.
