I’m dealing with a persistent fine dust cloud that appears whenever I brush the pool. Water is otherwise clear, and my latest test results are solid:
  • FC: 8.3
  • CC: 0
  • pH: 7.8
  • TA: 80
  • CH: 125
  • CYA: 70
  • Salt: 3000
This started right after I had my pool deck professionally power washed, so I’m fairly certain it’s not algae—just fine debris that settled.

I’ve been brushing regularly and running the filter, but the dust keeps resettling. I don’t have the equipment to vacuum to waste, so I’m stuck relying on the filter to catch it.

Would this be one of the rare cases where using a clarifier is OK under the TFP method? I know it’s not usually recommended, but wanted to check if there’s a preferred product or alternative you suggest for this kind of situation.

Thanks so much—appreciate the guidance as always.

IF you are certain you pass multiple OCLT's, then use a Chitosan based clarifier. SeaKlear has one.
You may have to deep clean the sand filter after. That may also help your current situation.

It could very well still be pollen up here. I saw a bunch of stuff that was yellow before the storm hit on Thursday. It'll probably be back in a couple days.
