Filter time

Thanks heaps for the info, I'm more of a physics kind of guy.. I was never real good with Chemistry, I guess it's time to learn.

Yes kissafrog, that is pretty much what was going on.

jblizzle, that would explain the high CA reading for sure, but what about the high CYA? what causes that to be so high?

I have drained pool to just below the skimmer box. Is it worth trying to get more out to try and dilute the CYA level some more? or just run with it a little high and keep the chlorine levels up to match?
