Filter pressure high when in spa mode

I put my pool in spa mode to fully engage the spa drain. I happened to notice the filter pressure gauge was at 26 psi. When back in pool mode, pressure is at 18. Is it normal to have the spa mode kick the filter pressure up like that? I’ve had my pool for 13 years and have never noticed this before, but I don’t recall ever specifically looking at the gauge when in spa mode, as we don’t use it very often. I just run it for an hour or so every 3 or 4 months to help clean the spa.

I max my pump RPM in SPA mode which increases the pressure. Depending on the number of jet,s it would be normal to see the restriction cause a rise in pressure.
