Got cracks in various places of flagstone mortar around the pool. I understand eventually that pieces of flagstone like this will have to come out and be mortared. Looking to slow the problem down for a while. Is there any caulk/silicone/etc thin enough to get down in there, where the excess could be wiped away (meaning not look like caulk is all over the top of the stone)? Another idea I had was polymeric sand. It could probably be brushed in there and then would do its thing once wet. Thanks for any DYI tips.
Had another brilliant idea, a little bit of grout is cheaper than the sand.
Thinking about after sealing up some of the cracks and pressure washing putting a waterproofing on the entire flagstone. Would that also help water/freezing damage in the winter?
