my builder asked me to test my well and get a filter to fill the pool
with my Taylor kit the CH was 27 drops or 270 ppm and the TA was 24 drops or 240 ppm how do I determine the count from these numbers?? Thanks and any filter recommendations?

I don't understand what you mean by "count"?

Your builder is in la-la land if he thinks you can buy a filter to remove soluble iron.....it doesn't work like that.

There are several strategies to deal with iron in your water. They all cost some money and are a pain but it is what you will need to do.

If you have actually tested the iron content, what is it in ppm?

The best advice is not to use that source. .3 ppm is sort of a threshold for iron staining and you have three times that.

Can you find another source? If not, you will have to be a life time user of sequestrant. That's a product that keeps the iron in suspension but it "wears out" and must be replenished pretty often.
