Fiberglass pool lip is not level prior to coping

Having a fiber glass pool installed, and noticed that at one end of the pool (shallow end) the lip of the shell curves up and then down again in the center/right.

Is this normal? Wouldn’t this make coping install very difficult?

Welcome to TFP.

A good mason will level the coping over the hump by varying the thickness of the mortar used under the coping.

That bow looks like it's over an inch - I think that's too much to level out with just mortar. And it will still show. You need to talk to your pool builder and ask why the bow is there and what he can do to fix it.
