Feature wall/column planters

Hello! We're nearing the end of our build and looking forward to landscaping, etc. We have two short columns that I'd like to place some bowl planters on - does anyone have any issues with the runoff/drainage from the planter into the pool? Thanks!

It might be best to have something under the planter to catch any drainage. And then add some type of drain line to divert the drainage water out into the landscaped area behind the columns/wall.
