Perhaps this is already a feature and I'm not seeing it because I'm using the free tier (as mentioned in my previous thread: subscription levels), but if not I thought I'd raise it here. Is it possible to combine all the "additions required to bring levels into ideal range" but such that it's all in one screen and compounding is taken into account?

For example, I currently need to add some borax to raise my PH, but I also need to add baking soda to raise my alkalinity. If I do each of the steps independently, it will inadvertently result in a slightly higher PH than originally planned because both have an effect on PH. So I'm not sure how complex the math involved would be to implement this, but ideally it would show that I need to add both on a single screen with the volumes set to account for all other additions required.

Failing that, at a minimum, it would be also great to add under the "Recommendation" under each reading page, not just the amount to add, but also the effects of adding that weight on all other variables - again, essentially combining the "Effects of Adding" right to the "recommendations" section

just my $0.02

If one is needing to increase both pH and TA then the solution would be to add the chemical that affects both, then retest to determine if any other adjustment needed to either parameter. A pH in the 7’s is good so if it is 7.2 or 7.8 is fine. The focus should be on CSI. are you measuring that?

The folks that manage the PM app monitor this site so they may consider your suggestion.

I haven't been calculating/tracking CSI, no. My understanding was that with a Vinyl pool, calcium was not really a significant factor. I do test it though, and my CH has been < 25ppm since ditching Cal Hypo as a sanitizer (years ago). It hasn't, to my knowledge, caused any issues so far and I haven't even had any scale form on my SWC either. FWIW CSI is -1.06 based on testing before closing the pool a few days ago.

But yes - after adding chemicals I re-test, and re-adjust. My point in this thread was that it would be a nice feature in the PoolMath app to see what the impacts of the recommended additions were as a whole rather than individually.
