Hi all. I had algae on Saturday and did the SLAM process. My pool is looking great today and I just got a test done at Leslie's. I added muriatic acid to lower the pH. The kids want to swim later today, but the chlorine is still very high post SLAM. Is it too high to swim?
FC 15
TC 15
pH 8.1
TA 101
Calcium Hardness 390
CYA 63
Iron 0
Copper .1
Phosphates 0
TDS 1500

Thanks for your help!

Not too high, go swim!!!! Buuuuuut, why are you using P@@l St@re testing? Post results from you kit.

FC up to and including SLAM level is safe for people...

Without accurate test results, can’t really say. If your CYA is really 60+ then it’s fine to swim. But the pool store frequently gets that one wrong and is why we don’t offer advice based on their test results. If you’ve been using chlorine tablets to chlorinate the water for a while then there’s a good chance 60ppm is in there (probably lots more) is ok to swim. I think the Leslie’s FC test maxes out at 15ppm so not sure if that’s accurate either.
