FC / CC not dropping

Hi, I'm new to this but have been using the TFPro test kit for a few days now and have been logging in the Pool Math app. My water looks great, feels great, so there's no real problem, but I haven't added any chlorine in 3 1/2 days and my FC and CC levels remain unchanged (5.5 FC and 0.5 CC). The pool is in full sun, and it is definitely hot enough around here, so I would expect my FC levels to be dropping.

It's an 8,500 gallon, vinyl lined above ground pool (oval). It's just me and my partner using it, and we keep it real clean, but is this normal / possible?

no,

Most pools use about 2 to 4 ppm of FC per day, so something does not smell right to me..

Is this a saltwater pool? If not, how are you adding chlorine to your pool?

What else, if anything, have you added?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Not a saltwater pool. I've got a Leap Frog system (dealer installed with the pool), but it seems to have broken - the tabs aren't dissolving and the cartridge isn't taking any water. After reading up here, I wasn't going to continue using it anyway. I just switched from 78% Cal-Hypo to liquid chlorine this last week (last addition was 32 oz of 10% liquid chlorine on August 10).

I opened the pool about a month ago and followed all the pool store recommended chemicals (Weekly shock with 1 lb of Cal-Hypo, initially a bottle of all-out algicide, approx 2 lbs of Cyanuric Acid balancer; 10 lbs of Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, 18 lbs of calcium booster, 4 lbs of pH reducer, 10 oz of phosphate remover). I only noticed the Leap Frog wasn't working just before I made the switch to liquid chlorine. Wish I'd started with TFP at the beginning!

Current readings:
5.5 FC
0.5 CC
7.5 pH

the rest are 10 days old, from the pool store water testing:
106 TA
195 CH
43 CYA

Thanks so much for your help!
