Faulty VR8304K4822 valve? How to troubleshoot?

Our Raypak propane pool heater uses a VR8304K4822 valve. We know we're getting propane to the heater (tested by propane provider technicians), but no propane is getting through the valve to the heating elements. The igniter sparks, but nothing lights up. After 30 seconds of sparking, the heater throws a fault of "no ignition."
The valve is only three years old and I'm hopeful there is a simple solution to this issue. Can someone provide troubleshooting tips, please?

Welcome to TFP.

There is not much to troubleshoot in a gas control valve. If you have gas pressure at the valve as measured with a manometer and 24V is being applied to the valve and the valve is not opening and flowing has then the valve needs to be replaced. There is nothing serviceable in a gas valve.

Do you hear the click of the valve opening?

I hear _A_ click, but not sure if it's the click of the valve opening or something else.
