I recently moved into my home with a pool (my first) and 2 of 3 incandescent pool and spa lights were leaking. The previous owner “fixed” them with regular silicone caulk...New gaskets didn’t work so I decided to upgrade. I am pretty handy with the right instructions and YouTube videos so I decided to DIY. After looking around I found the Pool Baron Nicheless color changing wall lights. I didn’t see any experiences or reviews on them but after a few calls to Florida Sunseeker making it seem easy to DIY I decided to take the plunge (pun intended). They said I could replace the small light in the shallow end with a larger light so I purchasd two large for the pool (shallow end & deep end)and one small for the spa. I received them yesterday so I decided to see if one would work. The lights come with a transformer to make the 120v compatable with the 12v light. The transformer instructions are not the very clear or detailed in my opinion but I pressed on. I tried and tried but no luck so far. I even facetimed with my friend who is familiar with electrical wiring and I still couldn’t get it to work. I am going to give Florida Sunseeker a call today to see what I can do to maybe get the first one going. I am hoping I don’t need to spend additional money on an electrician or have to return these to find new lights. I wanted to share my experience with everyone if anyone was thinking about these lights. I will keep you posted on my progress as I go!
