I have an in ground pool (average size) built about 10 years ago and I am the new home owner. Easy Touch system with a nautilus. There is also a swim jet set up: three, 2hp motors individually running two high jets and one low jet in the deep end.
My question is around the wiring and controls. The three pumps are attached to an FF-1094 Four Function Air Switch box By Allied Innovations LLC, with no external controls. That box is powered and controlled by direct connection to the Easy Touch Box. There do not appear to be any controls associated with the Swim Jets in the Easy Touch Control Box as all are taken by other functions. There is also what looks like an automotive vacuum line running to the bottom of the FF-1094 that goes into an in-ground conduit line.
So it appears the only way to turn the swim jets on/off is at the breaker box. They were off when I opened the breaker box. Two of the jets are on one breaker and one on another. I cannot get all three to run at once. Either the single runs, or the double runs but not both.
I have a lifetime experience with pools as an owner who maintained them but this is new to me.
Questions:
Any idea why I can only get one breaker at a time to run the swim jets?
What is the automotive vacuum line for? Where does it terminate or where should I look?
Does this setup make any sense?
Is there a better way to do this?
Can I run the swim jet pumps from the easy touch if I give up another function like "yard lights?"
All comments and ideas welcome.
Sorry I don't know the pool size.
