Can we talk a bit about evaporation and how chemicals in your pool are affected. I was always under the impress that water evaporates purely as water vapor and leaves behind chemicals. So as you lose water due to evaporation, all chemicals such as TA, CYA, Borates, CH, etc become more concentrated.

Is this true??

So in fact, as you keep topping up your water due to evaporating (and introducing more TA, CH, etc) then over time, these chemicals should increase in concentration (maybe not so much for CYA, borates, etc as these are not normally in your top up water).

Yes, as you will notice my TA and CH levels of my fill water in my signature line. Whether it's added by bag, box, jug, or tap, it's something I'm adding to my pool. My TA stays within bounds but my acid adds are frequent.
