Hi,
I use Enjoy Once a Week system from N Jonas company based in New Jersey for my 24' above ground pool. You put these two "Puck" shaped objects in the skimmer when you start each month and then a 1.5 pound bag of chlorine goes in once a week for 4 weeks then the cycle starts over. The pucks are "copper"based. I want to add Natural Chemistry's Algae Break 90 which contains Copper Sulphate Pentahydrate to my pool to prevent algae for 90 days. Our pool season is about 90 days. 20 oz would be needed for my size pool.

My only concern is would I be adding to much copper into the pool at one time?

Thanks,

Wow!! That is fantastic that this works for you. What works for thousands of other users here is learning and understanding pool chemistry. Testing our own water with a good reliable reagent test kit and adding what the pool needs.

Muratic acid to lower TA and PH if needed
Borax if PH needs to come up or baking soda to raise TA
CYA cyruranic acid to stabilize chlorine
Bleach is chlorine.
Salt for SWG

I can't think of anything else the pool has ever needed........especially any Algaecide or puck or mystery once a week potion.

Feel free to do some reading and ask questions if interested. Pool school link is at the top of the web page.

Yeah I think you're playing with fire here. Not only is your copper level going to keep building up and up and up and likely lead to staining and green hair, but I am going to guess that you're ratio of FC to cya is slowly going to get out of whack and your pool will turn green.
