I took my Intex down last year as it's a old pool (2nd owner or more) and has been up with me 3 years and the liner is fraying on top and fading inside on some spots where I scrubbed too hard. Life has been good so I planned on buying a 'real' ago, solid walls and all.

Life's still good but I don't like how things are looking.

On to the question, how does everyone feel about these eBay steel pools for around $1200 w/ liner. I looked at a few and they all seem to be the same and a basic solid wall pool. I'm looking at 24 x 52 with only a liner, I have enough equipment. I'm not looking at spending much more than $1200.

Thanks for any help.

I decided to put up my old pool.

I'm gonna buy tires for my truck when tax refund comes
Those tires will get you a lot further than the pool. Hoping your summer is healthy and happy.

paint the fraying sleeves with "as seen on tv" flex seal paint - did that to mine a few years ago and it is holding up well. the tape will work too, but I found it to be much harder to deal with. tape is better if sleeves are actually splitting, but the paint will slick that "hair" down and stop it from continuing to deteriorate.

Was planning on plain exterior latex paint, some people here have done it and looks good, only needs to last one or two years.

I picked up a junk liner and will seal up the holes from the main drains so just regular pool.

I'm moving the power and the pump/filter and the skimmer to the South

Redoing the sun sail

I'll have a post when I start
