When you control a Pentair IC-20 SWG with Easytouch, should the "sanitizer output" LEDs on IC-20 reflect the percentage setting you enter in the Easytouch?
Mine do not match what I have set in Easytouch, hence the question...

Thanks

E,

Sounds like your cell is not wired into your EasyTouch.

The AC power for your cell must come from the load side of your Pump/Filter relay.

Also, the Com port of your Cell's power center must be wired into the EasyTouch's com port.

Do you have an EasyTouch with a built-in power center, or do you have a standalone power center?

You also have to tell the EasyTouch that you have an IntelliChlor.

An IC20 is on the small size for a 14.5K pool.

Thanks,

Jim R.

It is wired in, it has the power center. I can enable/disable the IC, just the percentage what I set in the Easytouch does not change the sanitizer output LEDs on the IC. The Less and More buttons are also disabled, which indicates it thinks it is externally controlled, I think...
The easytouch comm port in use by the IC is shared with other items, but I thought that was ok and pretty standard to have multiple items connected to the comm port.

The cell has a 5 minute cycle.

While producing chlorine, the Cell LED will be solid green.

So, for example, if your Automation is set to 47%, the Cell LED should be solid green for 141 seconds and then off for 159 seconds and then it should be back on solid green for 141 seconds etc.

Note: The cycle is 300 seconds (5 minutes) with a 35 second rest period at the end, so the actual "On" time is 265 x 0.47 = 124.55 seconds.

Watch the cell with a stopwatch to see if the Cell On light matches the percentage in the automation.

E,

Does the EasyTouch show the salt level of the IC20?

There is only one com port, and everything gets connected to it, so that is not an issue.

Are you adjusting the cell's output on the EasyTouch panel or a remote of some kind?

If you set the cell's output to 50% what does the output lights look like?

Thanks,

Jim R.

I'm adjusting on the easytouch directly.
Setting to 20/40/60/80 did not cause the corresponding LEDs to move to solid.
However, during testing, I noticed that the frequency of the CELL LED being on was higher at the higher percentage levels, and that the sanitizer output LEDS did change a little.
After spending way too many minutes, I found the following:
Setting
Blinking LEDs
0-19%none
20-59%2/20%
60-99%2/20% and 4/40%
100%2/20% and 4/40% and 6/60%

You can also time the "Cell" light.

If the Cell light is solid green, the cell is producing.

For example, if the output is set to 40% and the Cell light is solid green for 106 seconds, then it is producing.

40% 2 LEDs solid Produces chlorine for 106 seconds of each 5 minute period.

It is not new, I'm just putting it into use after not using it since moving into this home.

I'm really baffled now. Yesterday morning, the lights exactly matched what the setting in the easytouch had (60% - 3 solid LEDs). I adjusted it down and the LEDs almost immediately changed to match...

Maybe it was in some weird mode and the overnight power cycle when the pump shut off fixed something?
