Easytouch, heater delay

I am using the easy touch system and I have programmed it to start up at 7:00AM every morning, with heat command set to heater. Every morning, the water temperature at the sensor (at the pad) is much colder than the actual water temperature in the pool as it the air temperature obviously acts more on the small volume in the pipe than the large volume in the pool.

This causes the heater to start up immediately when the pool starts up until the warmer pool water hits the sensor then it turns off. So it comes on for like 30 seconds.

Is there some sort of delay I can program to stop this, or do I have a add another program to come on for a minute before the main pool one comes on?

D,

I know of no start delay..

Just use two schedules.. Have the first one turn on the pool for 30 minutes with the heater off and then the next schedule has the heater turn on.

Or... If you don't want the heater on, why do you have a schedule to turn it on?? Maybe I just don't understand the issue...

Thanks,

Jim R.

The issue is that the water temperature in the pool is above the set point, but the water temperature in the pipes (which hasn't had water flowing through them for 8 hours) is lower than the set point because water has not been flowing because the pump is off at night. As soon as the pump turns on with the heater command it starts heating and then turns off a minute later because the water in the pool hits the temp sensor.

I have setup a separate program and it works fine, just thought a delay would be more elegant.
