Eastern PA region - when do you open?

70 degrees today and tomorrow but RAINY!! Then this weekend it’s supposed to be sunny but cold! Go figure. Looks like I’ll be opening next week when there’s no rain and upper 50s. I don’t plan on swimming until early May but I REFUSE to get an algae bloom! Plus all the pollen coming soon since I did not use a cover.

I keep thinking about this myself. Imagine if we actually had a winter this year and had been trapped in the house at 20 below for a month or 3 ??? Most days were 50 Degrees or more and we got out plenty, yet it still feels like we are prisoners locked inside.

So true! But man, working from home with kids at home is a nightmare. I locked them out of my bedroom to go on a quick WebEx call, and my coworkers still heard the pounding on the door. HA!

Finally! 65 deg in the extended forecast for next week =)

We were supposed to open next week, but I haven't heard from the PB on whether or not they are open and working...

We have reactivated the grackle war at our pool.
Originally, I had stated I would rather deal with the poop on the cover vs. on the bottom of the pool.
I retract that statement. Now without a winter cover and bird poop on the rails and on the pool bottom, it is much easier to clean the pool than to clean the cover. No larvae, bugs, birds using it as a bird bath or dead things that stink up the cover and make it almost impossible to clean.
We won't be swimming for several weeks anyway and this way we can enjoy looking at the water instead of the ugly swamp the pool cover becomes.

We had a chance last month when we had 80 degree temps but my daughter was sick. Warming it up tonight to swim tomorrow. Supposed to get into upper 70's.
