E05 Pentair Sta-rite maxetherm SR200NA error

I’ve got a 5 year old Starite SR200NA and I’m getting the E05 error. I’m guessing the control board in this is similar to the Pentair Mastertemp. I pulled the SFS and it looks fine. When the unit comes on and the burner starts I get temperature readings for anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, then it goes to the 80 with occasional 40 reading. The temp seems to get up from anywhere from 190 to 230.

Right now I’m guessing it’s either a minor wiring issue or the sensor. Maybe the SFS is failing at high temperature?

It’s been balmy in Houston lately, 76 today. Been enjoying the heater for the past few days.

Thanks. Checked the wiring, seems ok. I couldn’t find my multimeter, so figured I’d order a new SFS (the cheap one off amazon). I’ll report back in a few days.

Ok, if that doesn't work, I would replace the board.
