Ok, my pool hasn't even been dug yet. (Was that even proper grammar?) I have my TFT-100 kit. I opened it up and checked it out. I've got 2 beakers in there, a big and small. I started thinking, after I grab some pool water and mix the reagents in there, after I'm done testing, what do I do with it? Do I dump the mixture down a drain? In the landscaping? Dare I ask, back in the pool? Can I rinse the beaker in the pool once it's been emptied?

Sorry if I missed this info in pool school! 🤣

You can pour it down a drain, I dump mine in a rocky area outside my garage. It is best to NOT dump them in the pool or in a garden area with live plants. Rinse the vials well with water after use.

Also, I am remembering that my friend that has a pool said that we have a lot of iron in our city water... just looked up what to do about that... so I need to get polyfill and put it in a hairnet and place it in the skimmer to help capture it. I can do this... I think. I don't know how to backwash... should I just wait till the pool is closer to being finished/filled? I like to go into things really prepared. And I don't want to ruin any brand new equipment/liner.

Polyfill will help capture iron. So plan on that when you fill. Your plaster company will add a sequestrent to the water most likely and thus you might not see the iron to start.
For backwash, go to Pool School.
