Ducks ! is there anything that scares them away ?

So I live in a typical SW Floridan HOA community, and there's a lake just at the back of my yard.

I have a duck problem. Well they just love a morning, and erm i guess an afternoon, and evening dip in my pool. I've tried scaring them away, but they don't give a **** !! well not unless its in my pool lol. I've got a dog too, and she just looks at them. If i chase them away, they quack and waddle out the pool, then come back 5min later. it wouldn't be a problem, but i do seem to be getting black mold spots at the bottom, and i'm thinking its cos they're getting out of the fresh water lake and coming into the pool. and No, i'm not going to shoot them. Not that I'm a vegan or anything, aw heck no !!! i just wouldn't want to shoot an animal. I'll just eat them and not think about it instead. :)

I guess i could get one of those fake owls, but i'm thinking these ducks will probably look at it, and carry on about their business. So if anyone has any idea's that actually work, please share.

Thanks in advance.

We have found that fishing line strung at 6" and 12" off the ground keep ducks and geese away.

Black algae spots on the bottom are not from the ducks, it is from long term under chlorination.

How are you testing your water, can you post a set of results from your kit?

Also, post pictures of the black algae spots.
