Dual-Speed 115V Pump - Do They Exist Anymore?

I am looking to replace an old single speed 1HP pump with a more energy efficient model. Service at the pad is 115V so want to stay with that. I know there are quality VS models that would be great but they are expensive. Does anyone still make a reliable two-speed in 115V that would be appropriate? (This is for a different pool than the one in my signature. This one is gunnite, 25,000 gallons, no special features.) Thanks.
 
As of July 19, 2021, two-speed pumps, that are >= 1 THP are no longer available, thanks to the Department of Energy (DOE).

The Waterway Defender 1.65 is a good, reasonable priced VSP. Make sure you have 12 AWG for 20 amp GFCI or 14 AWG for 15 amp GFCI.

If you currently have a 1-speed pump/motor your best bet (in my humble opinion) would be to go with a variable-speed pump and/or motor. Unless you already have it, you would presumably need to add something to switch speeds on the 2-speed motor which will cost you $, but the VS motors all have onboard controllers and timers. A variable-speed pump can pay for itself with the savings on your electric bill if you turn the speed down a few notches. Just be sure whatever you get can work on 115 volts (many of them are fine with that voltage).

Thanks, InyoRich. Any suggestions for a VS replacement motor that can be wired for 115V?
 
These will work on 115.

You signature lists a VSP...is this a different pump?
 
Most of the lower (1.65 HP or less) variable-speed pumps and motors will work on 115 volts. I think you mentioned that this was for a pool that wasn't in your signature - let us know what the pump model is if you are just looking for a new motor.

The EVQ- and EVC series from Regal Rexnord are good, but the Nidec ones offer more flexibilty in programming (the Regal Rexnord ECM series are being discontinued, but there are still some out there available - they also have user-defined programming capabilities as long as you aren't in CA or NY).
