In my *fiberglass* pool the dry well is about 6" behind the deepest end wall. If you look down it you see stones that actually continue on to the stone bottom under the pool.
IF we had heavy ground water to worry about (and I never have) we would see water in the dry well and drop a small sump pump down to drain it off.
I know there are ways to put French drains around vinyl pools but I'm unsure if that is something that can be done after the fact easily?
I know this may not be very helpful, but I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Hi Folks, I took my pool cover off last Friday and was greeted by this Never seen that before. Matter of fact, after searching all over Google on this topic, it is the WORST water-behind-pool-liner photo I have seen anywhere. And its my pool. And I took the picture. Arrgghh! At first I...

We got hit with massive rain for the last week and my liner floated. I have been gently and slowly coaxing it back into place all morning. The shallow end is back under water but still floating. Can I turn the pump back on to start filtering or should I wait? I have everywhere else back into...

I live in South Central Kansas and we had 4"-6" of rain in about a 6 hour timeframe overnight. When I woke up this morning, the pool was completely full and the liner had come undone in the corner allowing water to get in behind the liner (see attached pic). For reference, this is a brand new...

Hello Everyone, I am contemplating adding some drainage around my pool and would like your thoughts. Our backyard slopes downward where the pool is. So there is about a 3ft drop from the back of our house to one side of the pool which is 20ft away. I would like to address this runoff and an...

A quick description of my scenario. Vinyl pool with hole dug and 48 inch steel walls are going up in a couple days. Currently great dry weather. The top of the pool will be a couple inches above grade at the higher point of my grade and a foot above at the other lower side of grade. Crazy...

Our 22' x 42' x 8' in-ground, free-form vinyl pool was built in an area of heavy clay. The first three feet below the ground surface are sand and gravel, with up to 13 feet of clay below that. A waterfall feature and series of low walls are built into a hill along one side of the pool that...

Our pool liner has floated two times now with heavy rains. The occasional shower does not cause a problem. The earth under the deck on one side of the pool was like soup and a couple inches below the concrete. It took forever to dry out, and now it has happened again. The area that was...

We're getting monsoon rains and I already drained 3" of water saturday. Woke up this morning and the water level was 1" away from touching the T-track. Would water get behind/under the liner and cause me major trouble if somehow the rain over filled my pool? I do have french drains all around...
