If my SWG is generating chlorine but warning of high salt, is there any harm in this? Or can I just wait for it to drop through rain and splash out. It's currently 4930.
As long as its making chlorine, I'm happy. I know my pool has a trickle leak on the equipment pad this year and we've been adding water PRN.
So if you're happy with chlorine production, and know you'll lose water soon enough... fine.
IS THAT 4930 from your salt test kit or the device??

I personally never trust the device- its actually recording some electrical current or something that @JamesW once explained, and not the salt *content*.
So I only make changes based on the K-1766 Salt test kit.
