I decided to drain and refill my pool this year. It's been 6 years and the hardness had become too high for the SWG and was causing skin irritation.
Thought I'd post my method since a youtube video showed it took 2 or 3 days for a guy to drain his pool using the Intex drain plug.
You can buy a submersible pump but i couldn't see spending 50 bucks for that.
So I ran the pump to waste until the level was below the lowest intake. That took about an hour.
I then added a 2nd garden hose running as a siphon and I also used some of the larger plastic hose that came with the pool as a siphon. So I had 3 straws in the pool essentially.
Total drain time was 5 hours.
