Drainage around pool

Hello everyone,

Finished installing my pool a few weeks back and have been enjoying the weekends until a storm went thru my area yesterday and it was quickly brought to my attention that I am not done yet! Lol. I have some draining issues I need to take care of. I was thinking of doing a french drain system and have been researching but I'm not sure what the best practice is. I will be doing a deck neck year if that help with future proofing the drain idea. I have a few pics showing the area.

First step would probably be working on the grading around the pool. Try to have the grade go away from the pool to have water run away from it (though be mindful of water heading toward your house). It looks like right now the area right by your pool has low spots. I'd fill those in immediately.
