Just curious it’s just as easy for me to drain and start over or slam my above ground pool just wondering what the consensus is. I let it get carried away but was able to keep it blue all summer.
If you have good draining options and cheap fill water, it's hands down easier to drain and start over. You don't even have to get it all, the 10%(etc) left will be an easy battle once full again.
It is recommended to leave about one foot of water in an above ground pool to help keep the liner from shifting.
Drain down until about one foot of water is left in the shallowest part and then refill.
