I've been working through a SLAM, 5th day, water is crystal clear, been brushing and vacuuming daily, but still can't pass the OCLT. The only thing I haven't done is remove and clean under the drain caps. So I tried today with the caps in the hot tub (pumped turned off/breaker too turned off), and I can't seem to remove them. I thought once I removed the screws they would release but they seem to be stuck. The pool is on its 2nd season, and the caps have never been removed since install. Is there something I'm missing/doing wrong? Or do they just need a little more elbow grease because they've never been removed before? I just don't want to break anything so thought I should ask first. If they just need a little force I was thinking to thread some rope/wire through in a few areas to give me something to pull on.
