Dolphin S200 issues

My Dolphin S200 starts normally, makes a lap across the pool, then stops and starts, stops and starts, raising up on its back wheels, for about 30 seconds, before continuing on its way. BUT then it only goes side to side in same line across width of pool at bottom of deep end, from wall to wall, climbing and scrubbing the tile line, but not turning and covering other areas of the pool. I have cleaned basket and filters, have disassembled impeller and wheel kits to ensure nothing caught there -- all seems clean and wheels turn freely. Is this a software or hardware problem? Thanks!

(I would post video if TFP would let me upload the files.)

Thanks ! Below are links to video. The first shows the stopping/starting/wheelies and the second shows the same S200 climbing walls a minute later. But just goes back and forth between the same walls in same line and soon starts stopping/starting again. After about 25-30 minutes of this, it just stops altogether.

Thanks, it's a few years old, out of warranty. I ran it this morning without the filter basket just to see if had any impact. The unit runs more freely around the pool without the basket but still has same stopping and starting issue as shown in the first video.

Age related likely. My Active20 is seven years old and running strong. But it stays in the pool nearly all year and runs at most a couple times a week.

So I tested it out of water -- see video link below. It does the 10 seconds forward, a few seconds backwards, and then forward again for a full 4 minutes before stopping. What does that mean (why does it not sense it is out of the water)? You can also hear a clicking sound as the wheels spin. Thanks!
