Dolphin nautilus pool robot says operate only in chlorine 4ppm or less

just bought a pool cleaning robot dolphin nautilus. but instructions say to only vacuum when chlorine is 4ppm or less. i keep my free target chlorine at 8.

anyone have issues operating their robot at higher ppms?
 
The industry doesn't recognize CYAs buffering of the active HOCL content of chlorine. (The harsh part). 0 CYA and 4 FC would be harsh, they get that part right.

It's just so happens to be a cash cow for them to ignore said science. Your choice if it's ignorant or nefarious.

Disregard their recommendations. :)
